Gemology - Sadly not just another bejeweled.

So here's the thing about gemology, you should be able to get 1.4k a day with the basic 40 moves (I can get 1.8-2.2k if I get lucky with cascades). Yet some people are saying they need cards to get to the 1k rewards. Oh the unfairness of it all, right? Here are the basic ways to let you save those cards for the 10-20k rewards from events and for tycoon.

1) I realize it feels so wrong, but it's all about the averages.  Lets stick with the basic 40 moves you get. At 10 points each that's only 400 points. Now most people will get some 20-30 point moves in there. That brings them to say 800-850. As painful as it feels, doing a zero point move that sets you up for a 50 point one is better. The average for those two moves ends up being 25 points each.

2) Slow down a bit. I find myself slipping into a gemology mindset where it's important to always have another move ready so the game doesn't end. I often think, if I move A for 10 points then I can move B for 10 points. But guess what? sometimes you move B first (for no points) and then when you move A you get 60.

3)  Work those cascades baby, work them hard. Sometimes setting up a cascade with two moves will get you 60, 50, 50 (and if you're lucky more but the board isn't big enough to accurately predict more for sure)

4) Find the patterns. And if you aren't seeing them go to another board or do something else for a bit.

5) Alright, I admit it... Little Helper does exsist and will get you between 800-1.4k points. But that's a hell of a range, especially when you compare doing it by hand up to 20k and via Little Helper.  For those of you who dislike doing the math, LH averages 23 points a move, I usually average 38-39. So when you neeeeeed that 20k gemology? Doing yourself in maybe 550-600 moves. Little helper will cost you 800-900.
